Alan Young wrote at the time, “Its been raining all morning. But hey it is what it is” (I think he may have been in the US so long he’d started to go native using a phrase like that… Being a good Scot you’d have thought he’d have said it was pishing down…)

Alan wrote of the piper at the race : "They always wanted to have one so with a Scotsman taking part and funds available they went for it Excellent quality walked around the course 4 times and generally did requests !!! Really good value and went down a storm"
